Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our long-term clients’ team at (1) of their properties in St. Paul, and Eagan, MN. The ideal candidate will have 2 years’ experience in hands on maintenance and general mechanical and maintenance knowledge. CPO and Boilers experience is highly preferred. This role is a direct hire role.

This role will be working with (2) buildings in West St. Paul (55118) and Eagan (55123).

Schedule: Monday-Friday standard daytime hours – on-call rotation is every 6 weeks. This role is a direct hire role. 

Salary: $26-$29/hour DOQ.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing various maintenance functions that are necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the property.
• Work with the maintenance team and management to ensure the quality of work meets the standards set by the owner.
• Perform tasks associated with electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
• Repair and treat structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors, cabinets, walls and building exteriors.
• Pool maintenance and testing may be applicable.
• Make units ready for new move-ins.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in residential/multi-family maintenance.
• Willingness to advance within the field (continuing education and certification opportunities available)
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• CPO and Boilers experience is highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems
• Follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to communicate with residents, co-workers, and management
• Regular, on-time attendance.
• Valid and Current Driver's License and Proof of insurance
• Be able to pass a background check prior to employment.
