Reports to Maintenance Manager
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment; gear and sprocket drives, motors, pneumatics, PLC’s, conveyor systems, loading systems, production machines and equipment and overall facility maintenance. This position provides a wide range of maintenance support with a special emphasis on production lines and processing equipment.
The Maintenance Technician interacts with customers, vendors, and co-workers; is accountable for maintaining the maintenance area and providing support for co-workers.

Perform preventative maintenance according to company guidelines.
Provide technical support for production equipment to ensure that lines are always in operation.
Perform technical problem solving and troubleshooting for all equipment and processes.
Perform machine setup and machine tear downs.
Aid startup process to ensure equipment is operating correctly.

Experience in manufacturing including electrical and computer programming knowledge.

Visual ability to discern quality and cleanliness.
Responsibilities
Maintain and follow GMP’s, Food safety, HACCP, and FDA requirements.
Compliance with SOV’s Safety, Food Safety, Quality systems, SOP’s, GMP’s and policies.
Provide coverage to support team members.
Ability to work cross functionally to achieve outstanding results.
Ability to make appropriate decisions regarding resource utilization and needs.
Other activities as assigned.
Work Experience
Industrial maintenance experience preferred, preferably within a manufacturing facility
Proven ability to successfully meet customer and management deadlines.
Manufacturing experience including electrical and computer programing knowledge.
Environmental F actors and Physical Requirements ****
Ability to constantly lift (30 -70 lbs.), walk, bend, stretch, stand, reach, talk and hear during the entire shift. Frequently kneel, squat, stoop, twist and reach overhead with repetitive motions.
Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp and visual acuity to operate equipment.
Ability to work in changing temperatures.
