    Job Summary:
    We are seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician I to support maintenance operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to grow their mechanical and electrical skills through hands-on training and mentorship. The technician will assist with equipment maintenance, repairs, and production line setup while working under the guidance of senior maintenance staff.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist with preventative maintenance (PM), repairs, and troubleshooting of production equipment and machinery
    • Support setup and changeover of production/assembly lines
    • Perform semi-skilled mechanical and basic electrical maintenance tasks
    • Inspect equipment and components for defects, wear, or damage
    • Clean, lubricate, adjust, and reassemble machinery as needed
    • Assist higher-level technicians with installation, repair, and maintenance of systems and equipment
    • Operate maintenance equipment such as forklifts, aerial lifts, and transport vehicles
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and parts usage
    • Follow all safety procedures and conduct safety inspections as required
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
    • Read and interpret technical manuals, safety rules, and maintenance procedures
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives and complete other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Basic mechanical aptitude; electrical knowledge is a plus
    • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills
    • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
    • Willingness to learn and develop technical maintenance skills
    • Ability to work overtime as needed

    Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to work from ladders and in confined or restricted spaces
    • Ability to lift, move, and work with tools and equipment as needed
    • Work in a manufacturing environment with varying conditions (heat, noise, etc.)
    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
