Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a fast-paced manufacturing and packaging operation in Garland, TX. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining high-speed production and packaging equipment to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with SMI Pak, Poly Pack, or printed film machinery. Candidates without this experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and packaging equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance on machinery and facility equipment
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLC-related issues
• Support conveyor systems and automated packaging lines
• Respond quickly to equipment downtime and production issues
• Complete maintenance documentation and work orders accurately
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance are performed safely and efficiently
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects

Required Qualifications

• Experience working with SMI Pak, Poly Pack, or printed film machinery is required
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of PLC systems and automated equipment
• Experience with conveyors, packaging equipment, and pneumatics
• Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or high-speed production environment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently or as part of a team
