    Maintenance Technician – Job Description

    Overview

    The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for applying specific maintenance and repair procedures to install, maintain, and repair production machinery and equipment, as well as maintaining buildings and grounds.

    Pay & Shift Options

    • Pay Rate: $30–$35 per hour (based on experience)

    • 1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM

    • 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 1:30 AM

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform maintenance on production equipment.

    • Conduct emergency repairs to production equipment.

    • Complete general building repairs.

    • Determine appropriate tools and procedures needed for tasks.

    • Maintain complete and timely documentation on work orders.

    • Work independently from verbal and written instructions.

    • Assist other personnel as needed.

    • Notify appropriate personnel of any safety-related issues observed while performing work.

    • Follow all safety policies and procedures.

    Basic Qualifications

    • High School diploma or equivalent.

    • At least 1 year of experience in industrial/manufacturing maintenance.

    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

    • Knowledge of basic small tools and production machine operating systems (electrical/electronic, hydro-pneumatic, mechanical).

    • Ability to read wiring schematics and diagrams.

    • Ability to diagnose and resolve issues with production machinery and facility systems.

    • Strong communication skills.

    • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

    • Ability to work in awkward positions, in tight areas, under machines, on ladders, or work platforms.

    • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, painting, and HVAC related to operation and repairs.

    • Must be able to work full-time, 5 days per week, 10-hour shifts.
