Position: Maintenance Technician – Memphis, TN
Reports to: Regional Director of Memphis Operations
Location: Bass Pro Shops Pyramid – Memphis, TN (on-site)
Salary: Hourly commensurate with experience, including a full benefits package
FLSA: Part-Time Exempt
The Bass Pro Shops Pyramid in Memphis, TN, offers a variety of unique dining and entertainment options, including Wahlburgers, the Fishbowl Bar & Bowling Alley, and The Lookout and Cypress Lodge, which feature multiple banquet, conference, and entertainment spaces.
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to support the safe and efficient operation of all our venues. This role will assist with all aspects of maintenance, including, but not limited to, bowling, arcade, general facility upkeep, and other activities. The primary responsibility is to ensure that the areas overseen provide our guests with a safe and enjoyable experience.
This role will also focus on routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring all facilities, systems, and equipment remain in excellent working condition.
Job Summary
· Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair bowling, arcade, and other amusement equipment.
· Perform preventive maintenance on pinsetters, lanes, lane machines, arcade machines, and readers.
· Maintain the general upkeep and cleanliness of facilities, including all public areas, offices, and storage spaces.
· Oversee the maintenance and operation of bowling and arcade systems.
· Assist with restaurant repairs and maintenance, including front of house (FOH) and back of house (BOH) areas, such as kitchen equipment, dining areas, and restrooms.
· Perform plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs as needed to maintain safe and efficient operations.
· Track, log, and document daily maintenance procedures.
· Execute daily, weekly, and quarterly cleaning and maintenance projects for lanes, ball returns, seating areas, arcade equipment, kitchen areas, dining areas, and other facility spaces.
· Manage the ordering and inventory of bowling, arcade, and facility supplies, including chemicals, lane socks, balls, party supplies, redemption items, and general maintenance materials.
· Perform emergency repairs and respond to urgent maintenance issues promptly.
· Collaborate with management and staff to identify and resolve maintenance needs across all venues.
· Perform other duties as assigned to support the safe and efficient operation of the facility.
· Adapt quickly, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple maintenance projects simultaneously, developing contingency plans to address last-minute changes or urgent issues.
Education And Experience Qualifications
· High school diploma, technical/trade school, or GED required.
· 2–3 years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or related technical roles, preferably in entertainment, restaurant, or hospitality environments.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
Strong technical and mechanical skills with some electronics knowledge.
Proficient with hand tools (SAE and Metric), multi-meters, electrical components, and soldering irons.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure guides.
Strong math and reasoning skills to solve practical problems and handle a variety of situations with limited standardization.
Safety & Physical Requirements
Safety-conscious with the ability to work safely from ladders and around electrical or mechanical equipment.
Comfortable performing work in wet, humid, or noisy environments, and exposure to fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and arcade flashing lights.
Ability to perform physical tasks required for maintenance, repair, and cleaning projects.
