We are currently seeking a reliable, skilled, and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team in Houston, TX.

    Position Overview:
    The successful candidate will handle both routine maintenance work orders and more advanced repairs, ensuring our communities remain in excellent condition while delivering exceptional customer service to our residents.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Maintenance & Repairs:

    • Diagnose and repair HVAC systems (EPA Certification required).

    • Assemble and install HVAC condensers and air handlers.

    • Troubleshoot and repair major appliances, plumbing, minor electrical systems (non-licensed), drywall, locks, and general maintenance issues.

    • Complete assigned maintenance service requests and work orders in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.

    • Assist with apartment make-readies including cleaning, painting, and preparing vacant units for move-in.

    • Perform routine property inspections and report any safety or maintenance concerns.

    Preventative Maintenance & Operations:

    • Support Service Manager in maintaining an effective preventative maintenance program.

    • Assist with inventory management to ensure adequate stock of parts and supplies.

    • Help oversee service request completion within company timelines and standards.

    • Participate in turnkey operations and unit inspections as needed.

    • Maintain company standards for curb appeal, groundskeeping, and cleanliness.

    Safety & Compliance:

    • Follow all company safety procedures and hazard communication programs.

    • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

    • Support adherence to company budget guidelines and maintenance policies.

    Resident Service & Teamwork:

    • Provide excellent customer service to residents and maintain professional communication.

    • Work collaboratively with fellow team members, vendors, and supervisors.

    • Assist Service Manager in leading maintenance staff and ensuring smooth daily operations.

    • Participate in technical training programs to continuously improve skills.

    Qualifications:

    • HVAC Certification & EPA License required.

    • Strong diagnostic and repair experience with appliances, HVAC, plumbing, and basic electrical.

    • Prior maintenance, handyman, or building maintenance experience preferred (apartment maintenance experience a plus).

    • Strong work ethic with ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Professional, positive, and customer-service-oriented attitude.

    • Attention to detail, dependable, and punctual.

    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work indoors/outdoors, and perform physically active tasks.

    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.

    Compensation & Benefits:

    • Pay: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour (based on experience)

    • Schedule: Monday – Friday, full-time (8-hour shifts), with occasional on-call rotation as needed
