Job Title: Maintenance Warehouse Manager

Job Summary
The Maintenance Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Maintenance Warehouse for the Central Falls Housing Authority. This position manages inventory, tools, equipment, and supplies required for the maintenance and repair of Housing Authority properties, ensuring materials are properly stored, tracked, issued, and replenished in a cost-effective and compliant manner. The Warehouse Manager supports maintenance operations by coordinating materials, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with HUD regulations, safety standards, and Housing Authority policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking maintenance materials, tools, and equipment
Maintain accurate inventory records, including usage, reorder levels, and cost controls
Coordinate purchasing requests with the Director of Maintenance and administrative staff; assist with vendor quotes and procurement documentation
Inspect incoming materials and supplies for accuracy, quality, and damage
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of all warehouse items
Maintain and track tools and equipment; oversee tool check-in/check-out procedures
Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
Support maintenance staff by ensuring timely availability of materials for work orders, unit turnovers, and emergency repairs
Enforce warehouse safety practices in compliance with OSHA, HUD, and Housing Authority requirements
Maintain Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS/SDS) and ensure proper handling of hazardous materials
Coordinate disposal of surplus, damaged, or obsolete materials in accordance with regulations
Prepare reports related to inventory, purchasing, and warehouse operations as required
Assist with emergency response efforts, including after-hours support when necessary
Perform related duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; vocational, technical, or warehouse management training preferred
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or maintenance support
Experience in public housing, municipal, or multi-unit residential environments preferred
Knowledge of maintenance materials, tools, and equipment related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance
Familiarity with inventory management systems and basic computer applications
Valid driver’s license required

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic supervisory or coordination experience preferred
Physical ability to lift, move, and store materials and equipment
Working Conditions
Work is performed primarily in a warehouse setting with some outdoor exposure
Requires lifting, bending, standing, and operating warehouse equipment
May involve exposure to dust, chemicals, noise, and mechanical equipment
On-call or extended hours may be required during emergencies
