    Position Summary

    We are seeking to hire a Maintenance and Operations technician. In this role, you will directly support R&D Engineering and Manufacturing Development with the committed goal of filling the product pipeline. The primary responsibilities of the position include assisting R&D and manufacturing development engineers in the assembly, wiring, and building of R&D prototypes, testing, and manufacturing equipment. You will also assist the Facility Manager with site operations.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Supporting R&D, Manufacturing, and Operations in the building and assembly of a variety of equipment, fixtures, and prototypes.
    • Supports facility operations including plumbing, construction, mechanical, maintenance, and GMP site initiatives.
    • Supports machine shop operations when implemented by the company.
    • Works independently and within teams.
    • Supports governmental requirements relating to the development and manufacturing of medical devices.
    • Execute maintenance and calibration schedule for all equipment inclusive of OEMs and internal Process Equipment to perform specific functions where applicable.
    • Perform unplanned electromechanical repairs as directed by Facility Manager
    • Help with facility repairs, upgrades, and ancillary support equipment and services.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Able to work with many different tools on a broad range of job types.
    • Competent in following directions, and putting together mechanical assemblies, piping, and instrumentation.
    • Machinist skills fabricating metal and plastic parts using a CNC Mill and Lathe a plus.
    • Attention to detail in all work performed is required.
    • The ability to interface with colleagues to accomplish multiple goals is required.
    • Highly reliable.
    • Completes all assigned work.
    • Can work independently or in a team.
    • Communicates opinions, facts, and thoughts with clarity, transparency, and honesty.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
    • Must be able to wear PPE for extended periods.
    • Advanced fine motor skills required.
    • Ability to lift 30 lbs.

    Education & Experience

    • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
    • Two-year degree and/or skilled trade certification a plus.
    • Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience.
    • Experienced at working with architectural construction, performing machine repair, and wiring equipment.
    • Experience working in a GMP environment is a plus.
