    Full-time live-out nanny required for a happy and loving UES family with a toddler starting Spring/Summer 2024. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for all child related duties including providing nurturing care and interacting with their children in a fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate way.

    To be successful in this role, you will need to be someone positive, active and have flexibility in their schedule based on family needs. The ideal candidate is someone who is proactive, experienced with toddler and PreK milestones and who appreciates open communication with the family. Their son is creative and curious and the family is looking for someone who shows initiative and is engaging to develop and encourage new interests and hobbies.

    The family's ideal schedule is 10am-8pm to allow for solo toddler meal prep and dedicated time to researching and planning activities both in and out of the home. Consistent evening meal and bedtime routine is part of this role.

    The family would love someone eager to experience traveling with the family. Live-in during the summer in CT, and yearly international trips are expected. Driver's license would be ideal (but not required) with no city driving.

    Location: UES, NY

    Start date: Spring/Summer - family flexible for the right candidate

    Days/times: Guaranteed 40 hrs a week. Schedule will generally flex later (ideally 10am-8pm) as their son is in half day school (mornings) daily. The family wants to find the best of the best! Domestic and International travel is expected.

    Children: Toddler (born Dec 2020)

    Conditions: $30 per hour* plus unlimited metrocard, sick/personal days, public holidays and full two weeks paid leave per year *dependent on experience

    For further consideration, applicants must possess the following:

    • Authorization to work in the US
    • A minimum of 3 years experience as a nanny, 5 years preferred
    • A well-suited demeanor for working with toddlers
    • Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
    • Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development (strong early childhood background preferred)
    • Ability to complete all child related duties (including, but not limited to: meal preparation, cleaning up/tidying bedroom and play areas, laundry, researching and planning playdates and activities, etc
    • Experience/willingness to assist with household tasks as needed (light housekeeping, errands, packages)
    • Ability to commit for a minimum of 2 years for all permanent positions
    • A professional appearance
    • An open and flexible schedule and ability to travel (at least 1-2 international trips/year) as well as live-in during the summer in CT.
    • A valid passport (or willingness to obtain)
    • Comfortable with family pets (one cat in home)
    • Experienced with children in the water / confident swimmer

    Additional qualifications we look for:

    • Training and certifications such as First Aid, CPR & AED, early childhood education, defensive driving, water safety certification, etc.
    • A four-year college degree from an accredited university
    • A clean driver's license and willingness to drive children
