  • Responsibilities

    Part-time Nanny required for a Lower Manhattan Family with an infant (born Fall 2022), starting ASAP. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for interacting with their child in an active, stimulating, and age-appropriate way, planning and implementing the son's schedule (play dates, activities etc) and focusing on his growth and development. To be successful in this role, you will need to be someone proactive, organized and honest who is looking to truly partner with the family long term. You will be responsible for providing nurturing care to the child including picking up the child from daycare at the start of your day.

    To be successful in this role, you will need to be an active and energetic person who is comfortable creating clear, fair boundaries while keeping things calm and fun. Be a direct communicator who is proactive, organized and self-motivated.

    Location: Lower Manhattan, NYC

    Start date: ASAP

    Days/times: Monday - Friday, Likely hours: 4pm to 8pm, guaranteed 20 hrs (afternoon and evening coverage) and likely moving to 25 hours+ due to parent's work schedules.

    *additional weekend coverage as needed.

    ** Flexible hours on Friday, some 6/7pm finish times.

    Children: One child, born Fall 2022

    Conditions: $35 - $40 per hour* plus two weeks paid leave per year, monthly metrocard and healthcare stipend.

    For further consideration, applicants must possess the following:

    • Authorization to work in the US.

    • A minimum of 3 years' experience as a full-time nanny or 5 years as a steady part-time nanny working in private homes.

    • A well-suited demeanor for working with children

    • Strong infant experience.

    • Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence.

    • Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of
      child growth and development.

    • Ability to commit for a minimum of 1 year for all permanent positions.

    • Experience and readiness to help with housekeeping and all tasks related to the family (light cleaning, groceries, meal prep and cooking, organizing, laundry including linens, etc.).

    • A clean background to pass our comprehensive background check.

    • Fluency in both oral and written English.

    Additional qualifications we look for:

    • Training and certifications such as First Aid, CPR & AED, early childhood education, defensive driving, water safety certification, NCS, special needs, etc.
    • A four-year college degree from an accredited university.
