  • Responsibilities

    Full-time live-in ROTA nanny required for a Fairfield County, CT family with a curious and bright toddler (daughter born May 2021) starting ASAP. Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for all child related duties including providing nurturing care, preparing healthy and nutritious meals and interacting with their daughter in a fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate way. To be successful in this role, you will need to be someone honest, active and engaging. The ideal candidate is someone who is flexible with their schedule, proactive, experienced with toddler milestones and who appreciates open and direct communication with the family. The family is looking for someone warm and affectionate to truly become part of the family. International (inc. extended trips to New Zealand to visit family) and domestic travel is expected with this role. A Bachelor's degree (ideally in childhood education) is preferred, and spanish fluency is required for this role. Drivers License is essential - no city driving.

    Location: Old Greenwich, CT

    Start date: ASAP

    Days/times: General hours: Monday to Friday (occasional mid week day off if weekend coverage is required), date nights / weekend evening coverage is expected. On call 7 nights/week. Work 2 consecutive weeks (14 days), and then have 2 weeks off. The family is looking for someone flexible and who can adapt accordingly during work hours.

    Children: One daughter - born May 2021

    Conditions: $120,000 - $150,000/year plus health care stipend and 4 weeks paid leave per year *dependent on experience

    For further consideration, applicants must possess the following:

    • Authorization to work in the US
    • A minimum of 3 years experience as a nanny, 5 years preferred
    • A well-suited demeanor for working with toddlers
    • Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
    • Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
    • Experience with RIE parenting method
    • Ability to complete all child related duties (including, but not limited to: cleaning up/tidying bedroom and play areas, laundry, researching and planning playdates and activities, etc
    • Interest and experience in cooking healthy and nutritious meals for their daughter
    • Ability to commit for a minimum of 2 years for all permanent positions
    • A clean background to pass our comprehensive background check and social media checks
    • A professional appearance
    • An open and flexible schedule and ability to travel
    • A current passport (or willingness to obtain)
    • A four-year college degree from an accredited university (ideally in childhood education)
    • Driver's License with clean driving record
