Full-time live-out nanny wanted for a loving and close-knit UWS family with a toddler (b. Oct 2020) starting early July 2024. The current nanny is leaving in August 2024, and the family's goal is to have a new nanny in place with ample time for a successful transition for their son, who views his current nanny as truly one of the family.

Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for caring for their inquisitive and affectionate son in a proactive manner, ensuring the child's safety and well-being, interacting in an engaging, stimulating, and age-appropriate way, and completing light, mostly child-related housework. The family is looking for someone warm, nurturing, and energetic who is comfortable with routine and providing boundaries. The son is in preschool, so school drop-off and pick-up as well as attending frequent after-school activities are a major component of this role. Thoughtful consideration of the child's upcoming needs, child-related housekeeping, and meal prep are expected while the son is not at home. To be successful in this role, you must have past experience as a nanny or educator, be highly resourceful and have significant recent experience caring for toddler and early school age children. The ideal candidate is someone who approaches childcare with a gentle and caring demeanor and is an active and open communicator, who enjoys sharing regular updates. Mom works from home and is very involved, and she and her husband are looking for a true partner in caring for their son.

Conditions: $35-$38 per hour* plus unlimited monthly Metrocard, health care stipend, sick/personal days and two weeks paid leave per year *dependent on experience
