Substitute teaching is a vital part of our total educational program for the students of Maize USD 266. The instructor who fills the teaching position in the absence of the regular classroom teacher assumes responsibility for instructional continuity in the classroom. SUBSTITUTE TEACHING LICENSE IS REQUIRED. PLEASE SECURE YOUR LICENSE PRIOR TO SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION.

Salary:

$115 per day

$160 per day for long-term assignments (greater than 10 consecutive days)

Education is individualized to help every child find success. Maize Schools is a largely suburban school district located seven miles northwest of Wichita, KS. Our enrollment is over 7,500 students. We have two high schools (9-12), one alternative high school, two middle schools (7-8), two intermediate schools (5-6), four elementary schools and an early childhood learning center.
