    THE TEAM

    Make-A-Wish America is the national headquarters for our organization, providing resources and support for our 60 Chapters around the country. The Information Technology team is comprised of a diverse team of technologists responsible for building and operating the technologies that enable Make-A-Wish to grant the wish of every eligible child. The Information Technology team is focused on providing innovative solutions across these key areas: Operations, Security, Applications, Infrastructure.

     

    THE ROLE

    As a Salesforce Developer, you will be tasked to carry out the development of the company’s Salesforce.org applications or enhancements through configuration and if required through Apex or Visualforce. Additional responsibility will include integration with other systems and performing additional administrative tasks related to overall reporting and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Salesforce development environments jointly responsible for maintaining complex configurations of the Salesforce platform. The role will also take responsibility for creating design specifications, developing unit test scripts for configuration and code and preparing technical documentation.

     

    WHERE YOU COME IN

    As the Salesforce Developer II you will:

    • Custom User Interface development, including Visualforce/Lightning pages, Aura Components and Lightning Web Components
    • Support the project life cycle including requirements, research, testing and deployment of the Salesforce enhancements for the organization.
    • Participates in technical design sessions; develop technical solution documentation aligned with the business objective
    • Follow coding standards and participate in code reviews to ensure appropriate design patterns are followed
    • Coordinates release documentation and communications, including training and customer, service management, and technical release notes.
    • Identify and resolve technical challenges and communicate with team and business resources across the organization.
    • Support and assist with implementation of integration with other applications
    • Build and demonstrate prototypes in Salesforce.
    • Absorb new product and technical capabilities from Salesforce during new product releases and acquisitions
    • Support the Salesforce Administrator

     

     

     WHAT YOU’LL NEED

    • Salesforce product knowledge and at least 1 year Salesforce development experience
    • Configuration experience using Salesforce point-and-click administration interface
    • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Salesforce Lightning Design System, and the Salesforce Development Lifecycle
    • Certified Salesforce Developer I
    • Bachelor’s in a computer science, IT or a related degree
    • Familiarity with agile software delivery methodologies and tools such as Scrum, Jira, Agile
