    Position Overview

    The Make Ready Technician plays a key role in getting apartment homes ready for new residents. If you take pride in doing things right the first time, enjoy working independently and with a team, and want to help create move-in-ready homes, this role is for you. You’ll help us turn units quickly and keep our communities looking their best.

    Key Responsibilities

    Unit Turnovers & General Maintenance

    • Complete make-ready work orders on schedule and to company standards.

    • Perform general maintenance tasks, including light plumbing, painting, carpentry, and appliance repair.

    • Leave units clean and neat after work is completed.

    • Provide notice of entry to residents with updates on completed or ongoing work.

    • Follow up on any incomplete work orders until resolved.

    Community Support

    • Assist with grounds upkeep and help maintain curb appeal.

    • Proactively service and maintain community amenities such as pools.

    • Collaborate with office and maintenance teams to report needs and complete work efficiently.

    • Notify Maintenance Supervisor of needed supplies and inventory levels.

    • Assist residents with professionalism and care.

    Safety & Compliance

    • Comply with OSHA, environmental, and company safety regulations.

    • Follow all key control procedures.

    • Maintain a drug-free, alcohol-free, and safe work environment.

    • Secure and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies appropriately.

    • Participate in the on-call emergency rotation as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • 1+ years of experience in make-ready, maintenance, or similar field.

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.

    • Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.

    • HVAC knowledge preferred but not required.

    • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in various indoor and outdoor environments.

    • Strong time management, teamwork, and communication skills.

    Work Environment & Physical Requirements

    Frequent walking, bending, stooping, climbing, lifting, and use of tools is required. Must be available for after-hours work when part of the on-call rotation. This role includes exposure to indoor and outdoor work conditions, including seasonal weather.
