ROLE: SAP  DEVELOPER WITH EVENT MANAGEMENT (EM) AND TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT (TM) AND BOPF.

LOCATION: NEW YORK, NY (MUST BE ONSITE)

START: ASAP

ONSITE ONLY - TRAVEL ON BEHALF OF THE CLIENT IS NOT REQUIRED, THIS WILL BE AN ONGOING ONSITE POSITION.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the project technical lead, the SAP TM-EM developer will provide expertise for the technical analysis, design, development testing and delivery of FRICEW related objects for the SAP TM based solution throughout the largest departments in the company.

The consultant will be expected to deliver technical documents and obtain sign off from the customer where relevant.

Specifically, the SAP TM-EM Technical developer will assume the following functions:

• Supporting the team responsible for the implementation of the SAP TM and EM and manage first line technical related service requests to meet business and/or customer SLAs;
• Develop and test requirements for TM-EM integration per specified standards;
• Read, comprehend and maintain an understanding of functional documents in respect of the TM-EM implementation project;
• Work collaboratively with customers and project team members, both functional and technical, when necessary to gather technical requirements and produce technical specification documents thereof;
• Deliver on time relative to the deadlines, and communicate status updates, incidents, production changes to work orders, etc to project technical lead against project milestones, including escalation if there are delays or any issues so requiring;
• Utilizing BOPF framework to build reports catering for the development requirements in TM.
• Desirable Configuring the integration between TM and EM; Being able to map Business Process Types to Application Object Types; Creating Event Handlers on EM; Building of Custom BPTs to meet the business requirements.
• Supply Chain Management functional knowledge

Education

• SAP Certifications such as ABAP and/or SAP TM/EM will be required.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience in implementing SAP TM & EM systems. Specifically, experience in:

1. Over 8 years of experience developing in ABAP. High-level ABAP development experience shall include: ABAP Workbench, Report Programming, Screen Programming, Authorizations, ALE/IDOC, Workflow, Performance Tuning, OO ABAP, WebDynpro ABAP, POWL queries, Enhancements and Modifications.

2. BOPF experience for SAP Transportation Management (TM), specifically OOPS concept and BOPF structures, PPF, FPM, Enhancement exits, interface through PI Web services and related.

 DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

1. Configuration experience of Transportation Management (TM) module in SAP
2. Configuration of Event Management module (EM) in SAP
3. Event Handlers for Standard Objects and for Custom Objects
4. Integration work from ERP or third-party applications to EM using PI.

LANGUAGES:

English and French are the working languages of the firm. For these positions, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another language is an advantage.
