    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

    The IT Network Engineer will be a vital part of the IT team, rolling out new strategies and working on many projects and initiatives to support the company’s continued growth.

    • Design, implement, document, and support various network technologies, including cloud technologies
    • Monitor all installed systems, network components, and infrastructure devices
    • Assist with the design and transition to a new VoIP system
    • Proactively ensure the highest levels of network availability, including AWS and Azure instances
    • Design and document dynamic routing protocols (OSPF etc.), with an eye towards redundancy and resiliency across multiple locations
    • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies and implementations
    • Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
    • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support on network-centric issues
    • Resolve incidents within our ticketing system
    • Liaise with vendors and partners maintaining healthy relationships
    • Contribute as an active member of the IT team on any/all problem solving
    • Investigate root cause analysis and report to senior management

    WHAT YOU NEED FOR THIS POSITION

    • 5+ years in IT networking
    • 2+ years working with AWS, Azure, or similar public cloud technologies
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) strongly preferred
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
    • Proven leadership skills
    • Experience in having moved a data center, or migrated services from one location to another
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
    • Experience working with cross-functional teams
    • Experience with AWS network configurations including virtual firewalls and routers
    • Experience with Azure network configurations including virtual firewalls and routers
    • Familiarity with network configurations for servers, workstations, and laptops (TCP Stack, etc)
    • An understanding of typical and well-used network protocols and their application (SMTP, SSH, etc)
    • Experience with modern operating systems including Windows 10 and macOS
    • Familiarity with multiple hardware vendors for routers, switches, and firewalls
