    MARKETING MANAGER

     

    SAN FRANCISCO, CA

    MARKETING – DEMAND GENERATION

     

    THE ROLE

    We are looking for a highly organized, self-starter who is a detail-oriented thinker with an audience-first mindset. The ideal candidate is a creative marketing professional that can develop our marketing function as powerhouse to engage and transform an industry. This person is an expert in developing highly engaging, shareable, evergreen content that drives new leads and accelerates pipeline, have a really good eye and an awareness of the value of consistency. They will use their voice, push back and challenge our ideas! They will be responsible for supporting cross-functional initiatives and producing many different types of content.

     

    YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE

    • Highly driven to establish and build a true marketing function within a rapidly growing company
    • Create, build and execute a vision for our firm, in conjunction with the other leaders to create a legacy brand
    • Build and manage a rich content/editorial calendar that attracts a qualified audience to our owned properties
    • Build momentum and awareness outside of our industry, on our 1 for 1 projects and the work we do with 1% for the planet
    • Work cross-functionally with demand gen and acquisition managers to drive marketing-qualified leads, by converting site traffic through calls-to-action, landing pages, and lead generation content
    • Manage all creative resources including designers, writers, and additional supporting contractors; delegate tasks and ensure deadlines are met
    • Manage SEO initiatives including content categorization and structure, content development, distribution and measurement
    • Develop editorial governance to ensure content is consistent with brand voice, style and tone
    • Be able to lead across the organization, creating buy in with all our stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with product marketers, sales professionals, external influencers and industry experts to produce relevant content that meets the needs of both key stakeholders and our audience
    • Monitor, track, and document content results; analyze data to determine impact on revenue

     

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • BS degree in Marketing, Journalism or relevant field
    • 4+ years of proven experience as a content marketing manager and 2+ years of direct management experience (full-time and/or contractors)
    • Advanced understanding of the Makosi product, audience and TAM; experience in sales and/or producing sales content is a must
    • Proficiency in MS Office, WordPress or other Content Management Software
    • Hands on experience with SEO and web traffic metrics, social media platforms

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Advanced written and oral presentation skills with experience working with business leadership
    • Ability to transition from tactical to strategy and back again
    • Impeccable organization and project management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects with many stakeholders
    • Some Adobe InDesign helpful
