We provide secure, high-quality language solutions in 80+ spoken and signed languages for USCIS and other federal agencies.

    We are seeking Malay Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Malay, spoken across Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, and parts of Indonesia, is a strategic Southeast Asian language often needed for asylum, immigration, and refugee proceedings.

    Responsibilities

    Provide real-time Malay ↔ English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and official proceedings.

    Interpret with accuracy, impartiality, and professionalism in immigration and legal contexts.

    Maintain strict confidentiality in line with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.

    Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge interpretation requests.

    Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance reviews.

    Qualifications

    Native or near-native fluency in Malay and English.

    2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, community, healthcare, legal, or government preferred).

    Strong understanding of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural awareness.

    Excellent telephone communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.

    Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 federal clearance.
