    Malek Law Group, APC is a fast-paced, high-volume, multi-practice law firm in San Diego, California. Our main practice area is immigration law, and experience in this area is highly preferred. An ideal candidate for the position of Legal Receptionist is fluent in both English and Spanish, has experience working in a legal office, can communicate clearly and effectively with attorneys and clients, and has impeccable record-keeping skills. Daily responsibilities include answering phone calls, assisting in the preparation of applications and court filings, translation services, and updating and maintaining client case files. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities: • Telephones. Responsible for answering all telephone calls during business hours. Must be fluent in English and Spanish. Required to provide case information to clients, keep record of all client communications, and maintain an organized appointment schedule • Translation. Must be able to translate live client communications from Spanish to English and English to Spanish. Will be required to translate official Spanish-language documents to English. • Client Interviews and Document Collection. Effectively communicate with clients to complete applications for attorney review. Identify necessary documents for applications and court filings, inform clients of deadlines, and ensure that all documents are collected and applications/filings are completed in a timely manner. • Team Work. Clearly communicate with attorneys and legal staff to ensure tasks are completed correctly and on time, client files are properly maintained, and calendar is up-to-date. • Organization. Organize and manage a high-volume email inbox. Must be self-motivated and task-driven. Qualifications: • Must speak Spanish. • 2+ years of experience working in a legal office. • Exceptional time-management skills. • Ability to effectively multitask. • Customer service experience. • Ability to translate from Spanish to English and English to Spanish. • Strong note-taking skills and record-keeping skills. • Punctual and dependable. Compensation: $15-$20 hourly
