    Job Description

    The SALES/FINANCIAL ANALYST is responsible for sales demand forecasting and analysis, financial modeling, and business analysis for Mallard Creek Polymers. This position supports Sales, Finance, and Executive management with research and analysis in decision making. The role works closely with the Sales Team in identifying and interpreting customer demand patterns.

    JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Decision support analysis
    • Analyze current and past sales and financial data and performance
    • Maintain models for sales forecasting
    • Support Sales & Operations Planning with reports and analysis on sales demand
    • Generate analysis to support decision making for pricing and product/customer optimization
    • Provide regular reporting on forecast vs. actual demand and identify gaps
    • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages
    • Manage annual budget process
    • Create rolling 12-month financial forecasts
    • Produce variance analysis for sales and financial performance
    • Provide models and analysis to support growth project/acquisition opportunities
    • Coordinate with other members of the finance team and other departments in the review of financial information and forecasts
    • Review, maintain, and suggest modifications to current procedures and processes for demand analysis and forecasting
    • Execute other projects and duties that may be assigned

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 3 – 5 years of experience in financial or sales analysis
    • Degree in Finance or Accounting
    • Proficiency with data analysis tools; excellent Excel skills
    • Strong mathematical skills
    • Must be able to prioritize, multitask as well as work independently
    • Must be able to maintain quality of work and at the same time meet multiple deadlines as required
    • Must be a strong communicator coupled with the ability to maintain open communication with customers, employees, and managers

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: MBA

    TRAVEL: Minimal; primarily between CLT locations

    REPORTS TO: Finance Director

    SCHEDULE: 8 hours M-F with overtime as needed to complete projects

    STARTING SALARY: Greater than $70K based on Experience
