    Job Description

    _ A Day in the Life_

    Responsible for organizing, directing, and supporting the technical and staff activities of a radiology division, including operations planning, scheduling, safety, staff engagement, and quality control of equipment and procedures. Prioritizes services based on patient needs, procedure type, and available resources while providing functional supervision of technical and support staff.

    Performs technologist duties while serving as a full-time modality coordinator, overseeing staffing operations (scheduling, payroll, attendance, and coverage), staff performance (hiring, training, competencies, certifications, and discipline), and operational effectiveness through equipment planning, regulatory coordination, patient scheduling, and process improvement initiatives.

    _ What’s Required _

    • 5 years of leadership experience in a Mammography department or equivalent
    • Must have passed the examination in the American Registry of Radiologist Technologists (ARRT) and remain in good standing
    • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification (maintains with annual renewal)

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • Requires prolonged standing/walking with some sitting, frequent upper-body movement (including overhead reaching, bending, and kneeling), and regular use of fine motor skills to handle equipment. Involves occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs), assisting with patient transfers (up to 400 lbs with devices), and pushing medical equipment. Also requires constant near vision and effective hearing and communication skills.
