ROLE SUMMARY: Are you ready to join an exciting, growing industry? We are looking for an experienced Production Planner to ensure that production schedules are properly planned and executed to minimize stock outs. In this role, you will work with the production team and outside toll processors to establish production schedules, labor, and capacity requirements while coordinating production plans to help guarantee materials are provided according to schedule.  WHAT YOU'RE GOOD AT:  

    • Organization and planning to lead timely completion of production work to achieve goals
    • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, creating action plans and implementing accordingly
    • Creating successful partnerships with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and productivity

    WHAT YOU'VE DONE (QUALIFICATIONS):

    • College Degree or equivalent work experience
    • 2+ years of production planning experience
    • Lean manufacturing experience in cannabis, food processing, or a highly regulated and fast-moving consumer goods environment
    • Proven track record of effective production planning to ensure a harmonious environment with minimal stockouts
    • Work history of increasing production output and reducing costs through efficient planning, communication and execution
    • Expertise regarding ERP, WMS, MRP and similar software tools
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Organized, detail oriented and punctual
    • Self-motivated and comfortable working with little to no direction
    • Proficient with Microsoft  Office and Google Suite
    • Ability to problem solve independently
    • Project management

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES): 

    • Plan and monitor the day-to-day production orders to ensure smooth operations
    • Work with the production team and outside toll processors to establish production schedules, labor, and capacity requirements while coordinating production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedule
    • Utilize the company's ERP and WMS solution to ensure production orders are properly recorded and bill of materials are updated
    • Actively problem solve to minimize downtime and support a dynamic and growing production team
    • Continuously remove roadblocks to increase production volumes
    • Communicate with outside toll processors clear directions, deadlines and accountability to ensure they align with overall production plans
    • Review historical sales volumes, forecasts, and other variables to ensure optimal production
    • Evaluation batch sizes and cost metrics to ensure optimal production run quantities
    • Ensure production teams are properly tracking batch records and qc processes in our ERP system
    • Foster and nourish the company's culture of being happy, hungry and focused 
    • Actively communicate with production management, inventory, material preparation, and supply chain teams to ensure production occurs with minimal interruptions and downtime
    • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, create action plans and implement accordingly
