ROLE SUMMARY:

    Our Recruiting Specialist plays a crucial role by finding amazing people for our team while ensuring an excellent candidate experience and company integration. Manages the full life cycle of recruiting and ensures all new hires are effectively onboarded. The successful candidate understands the culture, the business as a whole, and the critical knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for each position. Must be experienced with recruiting for a wide variety of roles from hourly talent to management.

    WHAT YOU'VE DONE (QUALIFICATIONS)

    • College degree or equivalent work experience
    • 3-5 years in full cycle recruiting for a fast-paced company in a stage of high growth
    • General HR and Legal knowledge relevant to recruiting
    • Knowledgeable of recruiting trends, resources, technology, resources, etc.
    • Experience and/or knowledge of the cannabis industry a plus
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English including reading, writing, speaking, listening and understanding
    • Organized and detail oriented with a solid track record of juggling multiple competing priorities
    • Previous experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and/or Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
    • Leadership skills 
    • Strong Microsoft Office and Google Suite Skills
    • Bilingual in Spanish a plus

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: (ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES)

    • Manage entire recruiting life cycle and all related components including ATS oversight, Candidate Screening, Scheduling, Assessments, Communications, Offer Letters, Background Checks and Onboarding
    • Ensure full recruiting process is enabled to validate candidate skills/qualifications and is in alignment with internal values
    • Lead organization recruiting activities for a wide variety of roles including production/distribution, product, sales, marketing, finance, administration, etc.
    • Consult with leaders on talent needs and develop business recruiting strategies and plans aligned with short-term and long-term objectives
    • Create job descriptions and post attention grabbing notices of opportunities
    • Assist with identifying assessments and managing process for candidates to complete pre-hire assessments and/or projects
    • Builds applicant resources by researching and contacting community service offices, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, etc.
    • Represent the company and its culture through external interactions and business partnerships
    • Coordinate with Marketing to leverage company social media outlets to source candidates and promote opportunities
    • Perform research to determine companies, industries, etc. where candidates may be sourced; Proactively network to connect with talent for current/future opportunities
    • Train internal interviewers to ensure company and legal protocols are followed; implement guidelines to ensure recruiting strategies align with internal policies and goals
    • Provide all on boarding and orientation procedures and set check-in reminders for managers and HR 
    • Cultivate relationships with 3rd party recruiters including industry specific experts
    • Assist with general HR duties as directed
    • Able to work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Clear vision, hearing and speech
    • Able to sit and work at a computer for 8+ hours a day
    • Able to utilize a phone up for 8+ hours a day
    • Able to work remotely with proven effectiveness
    • Adaptable and willing to work in a variety of environments (some environments may experience extreme temperatures from hot to cold)
