    +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | JOB SUMMARY | | | | The Foundation Coordinator is responsible for supporting the | | identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individual | | and corporate donors. This position is responsible for fostering greater | | understanding among families, staff, and care providers regarding the | | role of philanthropy in sustaining and growing the District's financial | | resources. This individual works in close collaboration with the | | Foundation board members, senior management team of the hospital, | | medical staff, and key outside contacts. This position must foster | | positive and mutually rewarding relations between the hospital and its | | donors to yield long-term support of the District's mission. | | WHAT YOU'LL DO  | | | | - Steward the Mammoth Hospital Foundation Board including, but not | | limited to: securing new board members, providing board education, | | scheduling meetings and maintain bylaws, meeting individually with | | board members, and creating content for meetings. | | - Work with the CEO and department manager to initiate and sustain | | regular contact and visit with patients and families who indicate a | | willingness or interest in supporting the District's mission. | | Develop and maintain donor profiles, contact notes and actions. Work | | with physicians, nurses and other members of the healthcare team to | | identify and refer prospects. Engage Senior Managers, physicians, | | board members, others as appropriate. | | - Attend Mammoth Hospital Auxiliary board meetings and engage with the | | Auxiliary to coordinate donations to important projects and | | technology at the hospital. | | - Collaborate with Foundation and Hospital colleagues to present an | | integrated approach to cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship | | strategies for patients and families with the ability and propensity | | to contribute to the mission of the District. Lead the educational | | efforts involving medical staff, hospital staff, and board about | | philanthropy and community engagement and recruit them to be | | fundraising partners. | | - Coordinate donor development: review daily inpatient and outpatient | | census reports; conduct wealth screening, visit highly-rated | | prospects, VIP designated families, past donors, and others with | | ability and propensity to give. | | - Work with the department manager to lead teams and projects to | | develop and implement programs designed to engage donors, families | | and staff to initiate and advance their involvement with and support | | of the Hospital and/or Foundation. Work closely with Marketing to | | promote the hospital and clinics, our people, our programs, and the | | good work done here through various media methods on a | | continuous basis. | | - Work with the department manager to develop an annual work plan and | | establish fundraising targets in accordance with institutional | | strategic plans and priorities to fund improvements in facilities, | | technology, and programs. | | - Assume organizational lead on annual golf tournament and other | | fundraising events and activities. | | - Oversee Foundation marketing and communication activities including | | website page, social media, print, e-mail, television, and radio to | | expand the Foundation reach. | | - Identify grant opportunities to support strategic initiatives, | | oversee formulation of proposals, and manage grant awards. | | | | WHO YOU ARE | | | | - Excellent communicator and able to comfortably, tactfully and | | effectively interact with varied internal and external | | constituencies at all levels. | | - Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to work | | independently in a fast paced environment, and to balance and | | prioritize multiple tasks with minimal oversight. | | - Strong interest in furthering the mission of Mammoth Hospital and | | working hard to obtain donors who share this vision of ensuring high | | quality healthcare in the Eastern Sierra for generations to come. | | - Highly motivated and self-directed. | | - Organized, responsible, and accountable. | | - Honest and trustworthy, discreet and respectful of | | donor/patient privacy. | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • A Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in public relations, communications, hospitality, healthcare, or a related field. Professional training or education in philanthropy may be substituted for a degree.

    • Professional experience in philanthropy, fund development, grant writing, or other related field is required. Experience in healthcare is highly preferred. Experience in event management beneficial.

    JOB INFORMATION

    • $29.00-$42.05/hour
    • Flexible work schedule available
