JOB SUMMARY
The Clinical Assistant is responsible for performing assigned duties within his/her capabilities and under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. They will assist the clinic provider or nurse in specified aspects of patient treatment, including emergent care and primary care for all age levels. They will maintain effective interaction with the public and hospital personnel.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Review the reason for the visit and take the vital signs on all patients including: BP, HR, R, O2 sat.
- Responsible for patient flow in the clinic, rooming and preparing the patient to be seen by the provider.
- Assists the providers with minor surgery set up and specimen preparation.
- Knowledge of EHR and other computer software.
- Calls patient when prescription scripts are ready.
- Completes minor lab procedures, including the collection of urine specimens, and also responsible for the routing of lab results to the correct provider.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma required.
- State of California Certified Nurses Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician certification required.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required.
JOB INFORMATION:
- Pay Range: $16.00-$23.20
- Full-time and per diem positions available.
- Monday through Friday day shifts.
