  • Responsibilities

    We are looking for a per diem Physical Therapist to join our dedicated and highly skilled team comprised of avid outdoors enthusiasts (rock climbers, triathletes, mountaineers, ultramarathoners!).   Physical Therapists are responsible for the evaluation of patients referred for physical therapy treatment, formulation of a treatment plan and goals, and administration of the physical therapy treatments.  The Physical therapist will work out of both Mammoth and Bishop locations based on demand.  They will be active in inpatient and outpatient services, interacting with all hospital departments and medical staff.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    • Performs appropriate evaluation tests and measurements based on the patient's diagnosis.
    • Develop treatment plans, including reassess and revising them every 2 weeks based on patient's progress.
    • Performs physical therapy techniques appropriate to the diagnosis.
    • Demonstrates use of physical therapy modalities appropriate to the diagnosis.
    • Documents progress reports for patients seen for multiple physical therapy visits in a timely manner to coincide with physician follow up visits, and to assist with compliance for insurance carriers and utilization review companies for authorization and reimbursement.
    • Assists Rehabilitation Manager with assessment of needed equipment and supplies, follows procedure for ordering supplies, and stores supplies in appropriate areas when received.
    • In addition scheduled weekday and Saturday shifts, will share with other PTs coverage for in-patient care on holidays and Sundays (generally one holiday per year and Sunday coverage 6-8 times per year).

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Graduate of an accredited program of Physical Therapy and a licensed Physical Therapist in the State of California.
    • American Heart Association BLS certification required.
    • Ability to work effectively with patients, peers, physicians, and ancillary departments.
    • Minimum of one year PT experience preferred.

    JOB INFORMATION:
