Mana began in 2008 with the mission of empowering our participants with the skills and confidence to live independently. In 2018 we expanded our services further adding Residential Habilitation Services (supported living) which is aimed at supporting clients and assisting them to live a life as independently as possible in the community and their homes.

What we are looking for:

We are seeking extraordinary and compassionate individuals with and without experience to help our high-functioning clients with disabilities live their best lives! Previous experience in personal care or other related fields is a plus, but not a must, we provide training!

Responsibilities:

Direct Care Professionals provide personal care to high functioning individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. Duties include but are not limited to:

assisting residents with budgeting, meal prep and cooking

attending and help maintain all appointments

model healthy life choices, and good decision making

assisting with medications

ensure a safe, clean and healthy environment

community connection with trips to the mall, movies, bowling, local water parks, etc..

Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are needed. High School Diploma or Equivalent

Must be able to pass a criminal background check with Health and Welfare

Possess a good driving record. Must show proof of current driver’s license, insurance and registration as transportation is a requirement of this job, mileage is reimbursed

Must secure and maintain First Aid and CPR certification upon hire

Medication Certification is required, upon hire we can assist with certification

Demonstrated competency with skills and abilities to work successfully with the challenging behaviors of supported clients in care

Demonstrated capacity to be an appropriate role model, including exhibiting mature behavior and making appropriate decisions
