    Role Overview

    The Managed Services Sales Representative is responsible for driving new business revenue through the sale of managed IT services, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, and related technology offerings. This role requires a consultative sales professional who understands the MSP business model, can translate technical solutions into business outcomes, and is comfortable selling recurring revenue services.

    The ideal candidate has experience selling Managed Services, understands common MSP tools and frameworks, and excels at building long-term client relationships while consistently achieving sales targets.

    Key Responsibilities

    Sales & Revenue Generation

    Identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities for managed IT services

    Sell recurring revenue services including:

    Managed IT Services

    Cybersecurity solutions

    Cloud services (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, backups

    Network and infrastructure management

    Compliance and risk management solutions

    Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach through close

    Consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets

    Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects

    Consultative Selling

    Conduct discovery calls to understand client business needs, pain points, and IT challenges

    Translate technical services into clear business value and ROI

    Collaborate with technical teams to scope solutions and develop proposals

    Present service offerings and proposals to decision-makers (C-level, IT leaders, business owners)

    Position the company as a trusted advisor rather than a commodity provider

    Account Management & Relationship Building

    Develop long-term relationships with prospects and clients

    Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts

    Ensure smooth handoff to onboarding and service delivery teams

    Maintain high customer satisfaction throughout the sales process

    Sales Process & CRM Management

    Maintain accurate records in CRM (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, ConnectWise Sell)

    Track sales activity, pipeline progress, and forecasts

    Follow defined sales processes and best practices

    Participate in sales meetings, training, and performance reviews

    Market Awareness

    Stay current on MSP industry trends, cybersecurity threats, and technology advancements

    Understand competitive offerings and effectively differentiate services

    Provide feedback to leadership on market conditions and customer needs

    Required Qualifications

    3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in Managed Services or IT solutions

    Proven success selling recurring revenue services

    Strong understanding of:

    Managed IT services and MSP delivery models

    Cybersecurity fundamentals

    Cloud and Microsoft 365 environments

    Experience with consultative or solution-based selling

    Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences

    Strong negotiation and closing skills

    Proficiency with CRM and sales tools

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    Previous experience working for an MSP or IT services company

    Familiarity with MSP tools and platforms (e.g., Halo, Datto, Kaseya, Pax8)

    Experience selling to SMB or mid-market clients

    Knowledge of compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, etc.)

    Formal sales training (Sandler, MEDDICC, Challenger, etc.)
