    The company we're partnered with is a privately held contract manufacturer of automotive and military plastic solutions. In business for over 50 years, the location in the greater Miami, Florida area offers precision custom molding and value-added processes. 

    Role Description

    We are seeking a Mold Maker First Class for our first shift. The schedule would be Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm. This person will be responsible for creating, designing, and testing molds to meet customer specifications. The Mold Maker First Class may be required to work independently or as part of a team to complete assignments promptly.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in mold making or mold design.
    • Experience with various types of mold-making equipment, such as lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM machines
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings of mold designs and specifications.
    • Experience with CAD/CAM software for mold design
    • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing techniques used in injection molding.
    • Knowledge of quality control and inspection procedures
    • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Trade school or apprenticeship certification in mold making or related field is preferred.

    Responsibilities

    Tool Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine maintenance and repair of injection molds to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

    Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues with molds, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and production interruptions.

    Modification and Optimization: Collaborate with the engineering team to modify existing molds or create new molds to meet changing production requirements and improve efficiency.

    Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of molds, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications before deployment in production.

    Documentation: Maintain detailed records of tooling changes, repairs, and modifications to facilitate future reference and continuous improvement.

    Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality control, to address tooling-related issues and support overall manufacturing goals.
