    POSITION OVERVIEW:  Our IT team is growing and currently looking for a SR IAM SECURITY ENGINEER.  In this position, you will be responsible for strategy/design, and engineering of the applications delivery within the IAM systems including all existing and new features of the platform(s) as a whole. You will produce strategy for day-to-day administrative functions around Application Delivery in addition to liaising with the business users and the technical specialists in user departments. You’ll partner with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, and application development teams to create cutting-edge solutions that meet our enterprise security and business requirements. You’ll work cross-functionally with the Security staff to ideate, engineer, and execute solutions through POV, POC and production deployment.

     

    SUPPORT & ENABLEMENT:

    • Analyzes user access roles and security settings to independently assess compliance with defined standards. Conducts user access recertification as defined by company policies. Creates and documents all user access to audit procedures.
    • Collaborates with project teams to understand needs and enable them with infrastructure to support technology and architecture design review efforts for project teams. Leverages tooling and custom applications to monitor the operational status of applications, infrastructure, networks, databases, and security; optimizes and tunes performance as appropriate
    • Drives root cause analysis, debugging, support, and post-mortem analysis for security incidents and service interruptions
    • Maintains, upgrades, and supports existing systems and infrastructure to ensure operational stability and opens and manages vendor problem tickets to resolution
    • Monitors tools and proactively helps teams struggling with systems issues
    • Provides application support for software running in production
    • Creates scripts and tools that drive automation and enable product teams and end users to move towards self service

     

    DELIVERY & EXECUTION:

    • Drives configuration, debugging, and support for infrastructure
    • Documents test plans and executes testing
    • Drives field and corporate roll-outs of technology
    • Drives the stand up of necessary system software, hardware, and equipment (physical or virtual) to meet changing infrastructure needs
    • Oversees the implementation of process improvements related to KPIs and other relevant metrics.

     

    PLANNING & ANALYSIS:

    • Researches and analyzes business trends and behavioral data to identify opportunities for improvements and new initiatives
    • Drives the evaluation, development, and recommendation of specific technology products and platforms to provide cost-effective solutions that meet business and technology requirements
    • Researches and designs best fit infrastructure, network, database, and security architectures for products
    • Proactively creates and maintains tools for monitoring and support
    • Participates in project planning and reporting across multiple efforts

     

    LEARNING:

    • Maintains progressive certifications and attends training to keep up with industry
    • Drives configuration, debugging, and support for infrastructure
    • Participates in and contributes to learning activities around modern systems engineering core practices
    • Proactively views articles, tutorials, and videos to learn about new technologies and best practices being used within other technology organizations

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Strong intellectual curiosity
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred
    • 5+ years of experience with supporting access management solutions, including user privileges management, user credential management, and user security behavior monitoring
    • 3+ years of experience with Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) IAM tool such as, Okta, SailPoint, and Thycotic PAM
    • Strong understanding in particular of SailPoint rules and ability to write custom rules, scripts and transforms in SailPoint IdentityNow
    • Experience with implementing identity and access management tools
    • Experience with requirements, design, implementation, integration, testing, and change management
    • Experience in leading technical and managerial sessions with clients
    • Knowledge of the following areas: Azure and Active Directory or LDAP design and configuration, PKI X509, SSO across multiple domains, two factor authentication (2FA) scripting and coding, Web Services and RESTful APIs, JSON, XML
    • Creative and inquisitive professional with excellent interpersonal and cross functional/divisional collaboration skills able to handle work smoothly under stress, managing multiple assignments concurrently, adjusting easily as business needs change, and acquiring necessary new working knowledge quickly
    • Highly analytical with strong research skills, able to discern key issues and information in complex situations and resolve issues quickly
    • SailPoint Certifications (Identity IQ Engineer, Identity Now Engineer, Identity IQ Development Engineer) preferred

    • Currently pursuing a four-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related discipline.  Students pursuing a MBA or MS in a related discipline preferred

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Basic understanding of metrics, analytics and documentation

    • Ability to manage time independently
    • Experience in social media a plus, with a focus on LinkedIn capability
    • Prior sales or marketing experience desired, but not required
