    For nearly 40 years, Trustmark's Health Benefits (formerly CoreSource) has been delivering customized employee benefit administration services to self-funded employers across the United States.   Each of our offices around the country is managed locally by industry veterans who understand the dynamics of the markets they serve.  Every Health Benefits office delivers the personal attention of a local TPA backed by the resources and innovation of a large national organization, The Trustmark Companies.

     

    Trustmark’s Health Benefits, a nationwide Third Party Administrator, is currently seeking a Regional President for the Western Region.  In partnership with the Health Benefits Chief Growth Office, Health Benefits Executive Leadership Team and local leadership teams, the Regional President’s role is to develop new business opportunities and retain existing Trustmark Health Benefits clients within an assigned geographical market.  The Regional President is responsible for ensuring the sales, revenue and profitability goals for assigned region are met or exceeded.  Responsible for effectively building and fostering distribution channel (brokers, consultants, etc.) relationships that accelerate growth and opportunities. Will serve as the leader for the office(s) within the region for both direct reporting relationships (Sales, Client Management, and Underwriting) and matrix reporting from operational areas represented in the region. Will work closely with other areas (Claims, Customer Service, Partner Management, Product, etc.) to ensure the overall value Health Benefits provides to the market are superior.  Promote and lead division-wide and regional programs, projects and initiatives that support the achievement of strategic goals.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop and execute strategic marketing plans and prospect generating activities to meet or exceed location sales and revenue growth objectives
    • Serve as the market facing executive for Trustmark Health Benefits by developing and maintaining key relationships with clients and the broker community
    • Lead a team of sales executives, client management and underwriters to accelerate growth and retention for the regional territory
    • Support and advocate enterprise, divisional and regional specific initiatives by building ownership, enthusiasm and consensus, removing obstacles, holding self and others accountable
    • Act as mentor, coach and role model within assigned region providing leadership and employee development opportunities to entire staff promoting personal growth and ensuring greater self-sufficiency
    • Other duties as assigned/needed

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum of 10 – 15 year experience leading marketing, sales and operational initiatives in self-funded/third party administration or group benefits market
    • Minimum of 10 – 15 year experience leading client management/client retention initiatives
    • Established broker relationships throughout the Western US including California, Colorado, Texas, and Arizona.  
    • Strong entrepreneurial drive, high energy, a “self-starter” attitude, the ability to set and meet aggressive goals and the drive to for results while delivering value to customers
    • Exceptional ability for analytical and strategic thinking
    • The ability to create a culture of shared values in which employees work cooperatively toward common and mutually recognized objectives
    • A commanding presence, excellent written and oral communication skills and superior presentations abilities to be a credible internal/external spokesperson
    • Thorough understanding of the health care system, particularly challenges, trends, solutions for self-funded employer groups
    • Excellent financial acumen with self-funded market
    • Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred or equivalent experience in managing third party administration operations.

     

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

    • Demonstrated success in managing and growing a business unit
    • Deep experience working with broker and consultant community
    • Demonstrated experience in leading, motivating highly successful sales teams
    • Established presence and expertise in representing best interests of company in local markets
    • Ability to inspire, lead and coach leaders and employees
    • Experienced in working across division/organization to build consensus and synergies that support attainment of company goals
