    OVERVIEW:  Management Science Associates, Inc., (MSA) is a diversified information management company that for over half a century has given market leaders the competitive edge in data management, analytics and technology. We are seeking a Software Developer I (Intern) to join our Information Management Solutions (IMS) division.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work with data operations teams to understand the workflow and specifications.  
    • Work with client relationships associates to collect learn the dynamic report generation and format requirements.
    • Design, implement, and develop software tools based on the requirements collected.
    • Debug, revise and refactor the existing Python packages.
    • Rewrite the current VBA macros in Python scripts.
    • HYBRID IN-OFFICE AND REMOTE WORK.  CANDIDATES MUST CURRENTLY LIVE IN THE PITTSBURGH, PA REGION DUE TO IN-OFFICE WORK

    Required Skills

    • Undergraduate or graduate students in computer science, information technology and related majors.
    • Proven records with expertise in writing code in Python and using extensions.
    • Good understanding of Microsoft Excel VBA.
    • Knowledge of Oracle Databases and SQL scripting.
    • Knowledge of Azure DevOps or other SDLC tools.
    • Knowledge of Control-M workflow automation tool or similar.
    • Communication skills with the ability to develop good working relationships with team members, and employees.
    • Basic understanding of networks, servers and data center operations.
    • Knowledge of Incident Management workflows and automation tools.
    • Ability to grasp technical detail and complexity within the division's infrastructure
    • Knowledge of and the ability to quickly learn various web-based applications including enterprise incident management tracking system
    • Ability to work in a very organized fashion paying strict attention to detail
