Job Description

The Manager of Collaboration Strategy & Governance leads the strategic planning, delivery coordination, and change management for NBCUniversal’s enterprise and line-of-business collaboration and AI enablement services, supporting over 60,000 employees and partners. This role shapes the roadmap and governance for platforms such as Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), Slack, Dropbox, DocuSign, Zoom, and emerging AI tools like Microsoft Copilot and OpenAI, ensuring all technologies are aligned with organizational goals, security standards, and the employee experience.

_ Responsibilities:_

Strategic Leadership

• Define and maintain enterprise-wide collaboration product strategy and roadmap for collaboration platforms across NBCUniversal.
• Conduct user research, develop personas, and map current and future-state user journeys to inform product decisions.
• Drive adoption and engagement of collaboration tools to increase active usage and improve employee experience.
• Partner with Cyber, Legal and Business Units to align platform investments with business priorities and standards.
• Define and oversee the provisioning, governance, and roadmap for enterprise AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and OpenAI, ensuring alignment with business objectives, cybersecurity policies, and compliance standards.
• Build vendor relationships and coordinate with partners (e.g., Microsoft, OpenAI) to align product updates, licensing, and enterprise integrations with NBCUniversal’s technology and security frameworks.

Operational Excellence

• Analyze incident and request data to identify trends, reduce volume and improve resolution cycle times.
• Coordinate onboarding and rollout of collaboration platforms, including Enterprise-scale O365 deployments and feature enhancements.
• Establish performance metrics and KPIs to track platform health, adoption and ROI.
• Oversee provisioning and lifecycle management of AI tools, including licensing workflows, user approvals, and technical integrations with enterprise systems.
• Manage technical troubleshooting, FAQs, and documentation to streamline employee experience with collaboration and AI platforms.

Governance & Change Management

• Develop and execute change management plans using the ADKAR model.
• Create marketing and communication collateral to support adoption, training and sustained adoption.
• Ensure compliance and alignment with enterprise governance standards, data retention policies, and information security requirements.
• Partner with vendors (e.g., Microsoft, OpenAI) to align product roadmaps, AI updates, and compliance frameworks with NBCUniversal’s engineering standards and policies.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

• 7+ years of experience in digital workplace strategy, collaboration platforms, or IT governance roles.

• Proven experience managing enterprise collaboration environments (e.g., Microsoft 365, Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom, SharePoint, Teams, Confluence).

• 3+ years of experience managing O365 services in large (10K+) enterprise environments.

• Experience managing AI tools or digital assistants (e.g., Copilot, OpenAI, ChatGPT Enterprise) within enterprise environments preferred.

• Familiarity with AI governance frameworks, responsible AI principles, and vendor partnership management a plus

• 2+ years of experience developing employee-targeted communication and instructional training materials.

• 2+ years of experience conducting user research, defining user personas, and creating journey maps

• 2+ years of experience defining product strategies and roadmaps, with a preference for enterprise employee solutions.

• 3+ years of experience with agile backlog management methodologies with a preference for a certified product owner

Desired Characteristics:

• Knowledge of ServiceNow.
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally to stakeholders and engineers – conveying your message effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to build effective cross-functional relationships in support of delivering enterprise-wide solutions.
• Ability to manage and execute within a fast-paced agile process.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Curiosity and adaptability to emerging AI technologies and digital workplace trends.

Additional Requirements:

• Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
