    Position Overview: This position reports to the Senior Manager of Sports & Entertainment Analytics and will play a pivotal role in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data from various platforms (e.g., TV, streaming, social media, podcasts) to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions and enhance content strategies across our Entertainment businesses. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who loves tackling tough questions, pays close attention to emerging industry trends, and embraces new challenges.

    Our team is responsible for building connections between Versant and its diverse audiences across all platforms, using our expertise in how generational and life-stage segments engage with entertainment media. We focus on research, insights, data analysis, and performance metrics that help internal clients better understand target audiences, engagement patterns, consumer behavior, and cultural trends.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead efforts in analysis of cross-platform interactions between linear TV, streaming, and social media to assess their impact on potential outcomes for Versant’s cable network brands.
    • Create content performance analyses, address ad hoc requests, and actively contribute to meetings, presentations, and brainstorming sessions.
    • Synthesize analytical results, identify key insights, formulate initial hypotheses, and suggest the next steps for investigation.
    • Oversee research planning and execution, including vendor coordination and results reporting.
    • Collaborate with internal consumer insights teams on the design of bespoke survey questionnaires to glean insights not available from existing third-party data providers.
    • Assist in refining and strengthening the analytical frameworks used to evaluate critical strategic questions within our content portfolio.
    • Foster collaborative relationships with peers to facilitate information sharing and enhance operational processes.
    • Stay well-informed on media industry trends and competitive developments.
    • Conduct competitive analysis to monitor industry trends, benchmarks, and best practices across media platforms, helping the company stay ahead of the curve.

    Support and maintain forecasting models to predict audience consumption for Ad Sales planning purposes and content greenlights

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Business Analytics, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Proven experience (4+ years) in cross-platform analytics, preferably within the entertainment, media, or digital content industry.
    • Capable project manager, able to oversee projects from inception to completion, with the ability to balance competing priorities.
    • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings to stakeholders and department leadership.
    • A collaborative and diplomatic approach, combined with the confidence to advocate for data-driven positions in discussions surrounding content selection.
    • Strong understanding of various media-specific data sources, including Nielsen and Comscore
    • Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and reporting and expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau to create interactive dashboards and reports.
    • Note: The interview process may include a skills assessment exercise.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of data modeling and advanced analytics techniques, such as predictive modeling and machine learning.
    • Background in marketing analytics, user acquisition, campaign measurement and optimization.
    • Understanding of entertainment industry trends and how they affect consumer behavior across multiple platforms.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
    • Strong decision-making skills and adaptability to changing circumstances.

    Additional Requirements:

    Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

    Salary range: $85,000 - $115,000 (bonus eligible)
