    Job Description

    The Manager of Franchise Development will be responsible for growing current Golf franchises (i.e. Collegiate Golf, Good Good Golf) while identifying and developing new opportunities (both with and without rights holders) as partners. This role will also have a strong business development acumen to prospect external partners and secure revenues to allow projects to develop further. Working closely with internal divisions across NBC Sports(Rights management, Communications, marketing, social, production) the Manager will manage Franchise content across all platforms and build a consistent and successful presence for the category.

    This position reports directly to the VP Franchise Development and is based out of the Ponte Vedra, FL office.

    Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    • Support new and existing commercial content franchises across NBC Sports linear, Peacock, social and digital – creating a diversified audience base and incremental revenue
    • Willingness to prospect and develop New Business through client direct or sports marketing relationships.
    • Work with all key partners and governing bodies to maximize our partnership and rights by identifying and executing new content and revenue opportunities
    • Work cross functionally with all internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute plans to consistently benefit across the Franchises
    • Expand the franchise platforms not only across all NBC Golf platforms but to partners and third party platforms to increase and generate a new and difference audience.
    • In partnership with VP, Franchise Development, develop a strategic plan for future and current star building by managing the integration of collegiate golf into professional and other golf programming – features, leaderboards, digital, etc.
    • Continue to grow a sustaining college golf platform (broadening sales opportunities) to surround these 12 weeks of live golf across news programming (i.e. dedicated College Central pregame show), digital (i.e College Golf Talk Podcast) and social media
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience in business development/client management
    • Bachelor’s degree in related fields
    • Knowledge of golf and golf industry
    • Flexibility to work with varying hours, work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
    • Ability to travel multiple weeks per month (Spring/Fall)

    • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Subject to change based on Manager discussion or business need.
