HCT seeks an experienced professional to serve as the Interim Program Manager Infection Prevention and Control (IP) at community health center/clinic based in Alaska with occasional travel to other locations (frequency TBD, approximately monthly or quarterly).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and maintain the Infection Prevention and Control Program in compliance with CDC, OSHA, FDA, TJC, and APIC guidelines.
- Oversee infection data collection, reporting to NHSN and other regulatory agencies, and provide support
- Deliver IPC education and training for staff, patients, and communities; maintain relationships with public health and regulatory partners.
- Supervise and develop 2 IP staff, chair the IPC committee, and manage the Employee Health program.
- Evaluate and improve department operations and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Education: Registered Nurse (RN) required; Bachelor’s degree in health-care related field (nursing, public health, epidemiology,
microbiology, or similar required; - Experience: Proven experience in infection prevention and control, including leadership of IP programs and supervision of IP staff
- License: Active RN license
- Certifications: Certification in Infection Control (CIC) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Computer Skills: Meditech Electronic Medical Record (EMR); proficiency in Microsoft Office suite preferred
