You'll be responsible for leading and managing a team of insurance professionals to ensure the efficient operation of Rural Mutual Insurance’s brokerage department. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the brokerage department, including sales, customer service, staff development, and compliance. Responsibilities: • Lead and manage the Statewide Services team to achieve the department's goals and objectives. • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the team to ensure efficient and effective operations and provide feedback to improve performance when necessary. • Develop and implement strategies to improve our customer service, processes, agent partnerships, and CRM capabilities while increasing premium and commission revenue. • Ensure the department complies with all applicable regulations and company policies. • Develop and maintain relationships with agents and outside partnerships to ensure the department's success. • Train team members regarding product knowledge, procedures, and customer service. • Monitor market trends and provide recommendations to the Director of Statewide Services, Inc. • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the department. • Conduct regular meetings with the team to discuss performance, client needs, procedure enhancements, and sales trends. • Ensure all documentation and reporting are accurate and up to date. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field. • At least 5 years of experience in brokerage or a non-standard market. • Property & Casualty license in the state of Wisconsin is required. Licensing in other states, as required by the brokerage firm, will need to be completed within 6 months of assuming this role. • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Excellent knowledge of non-standard products, markets, and regulations. • Has a track record of exceeding goals successfully. • Implements ideas that improve processes and performance. • Develops others through coaching, feedback, exposure, and stretch assignments. • Considers all relevant factors and uses appropriate decision-making criteria and principles. • Ability to analyze market trends and provide recommendations to the Director of Statewide Service. • Strong organizational and planning skills. • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, under pressure, and meet tight deadlines. • Bilingual abilities (Spanish, Hmong, etc.) are a plus. Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 year based on experience
