Denver Test Prep (DTP) is seeking a dynamic, experienced educator to lead our college entrance exam programs, with a focus on training, curriculum development, and high-impact instruction. As Manager of College Entrance Programs, you’ll play a key role on a small, mission-driven team at a locally owned company committed to delivering exceptional tutoring and expanding educational access across Colorado. In this role, you’ll lead the development and delivery of our ACT/SAT tutoring programs and admissions essay coaching. You’ll train new tutors, maintain and refine our internal resource library, and track changes to college entrance exams to ensure our strategies remain up to date and effective. Additionally, you’ll play a role in shaping our admission essay coaching - training tutors to support students through drafting their college essays. You’ll also support students directly through 1-on-1 tutoring and lead select nonprofit ACT/SAT group programs. This position requires strong instructional skills in ACT/SAT content, comfort with teaching writing and coaching essays, and a proactive approach to managing projects, training, and internal systems. Responsibilities: • Lead and manage college entrance exam programs , including ACT/SAT tutoring and admissions essay coaching, ensuring instructional quality and alignment with current test standards. • Train and support new test prep tutors , delivering onboarding and ongoing professional development focused on instructional effectiveness, exam content, and essay coaching. • Maintain and enhance internal curriculum resources , updating materials and strategies in response to exam changes and student needs. • Provide high-level direct instruction , including 1-on-1 tutoring for academic subjects, test prep, admissions essays, and/or academic coaching. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, students, and partners to ensure satisfaction and engagement. • Collaborate with the leadership team on long-term planning, project management, and the continued evolution of college entrance programs within a values-driven, equity-focused organization. Qualifications: • Graduate of a 4-year college or university. Major in a STEM field and/or a graduate degree preferred. • Minimum GPA of 3.0 for STEM majors or 3.3 for liberal arts majors in the most recent degree completed. • 2+ years of program and/or project management experience required. • 2+ years of teaching or tutoring experience required. • 1+ years of classroom or other group instruction experience required. • Ability to tutor middle school and high school math (including algebra 1, algebra 2, and geometry) required. • Strong writing skills and the ability to support middle school and high school writers are required. • Ability to achieve a top 2% score on the ACT and SAT (measured by an official practice test later in the interview process). • Strong track record of clear and effective communication with diverse stakeholders. • Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to form and maintain meaningful connections with DTP clients and non-profit partners. • Proven ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks independently and within a team setting. Compensation: $73,000 - $80,000 yearly
