    We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Manager of Operational Readiness to lead and coordinate the end-to-end technology preparedness for large-scale events across Peacock and our partner video streaming platforms. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the scalability, reliability, and operational excellence of our global live events—working cross-functionally to align technology, operations, and executive reporting.

    A strong candidate will have solid experience and a proven track record of delivering strategic large projects from planning to execution and be accountable for leveraging data, people, process, methodology, and technology to instill timely delivery.

    High-level responsibilities include overseeing scope, requirements gathering, project management, project tracking and reporting, and anticipating and communicating risks and issues impactful to projects’ successful completion.

    In this role you are effective at working independently and must exhibit strong collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to work across functional areas and effectively drive multiple project efforts concurrently. You possess strong analytical, planning and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands. You are a proactive, creative, strategic thinker that is detail oriented and a problem solver.

    Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

    • Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of large-scale live events, coordinating across business, content, and technology teams to ensure operational readiness.
    • Own and maintain the master calendar of critical events, managing timelines, dependencies, and milestones to keep all teams aligned.
    • Oversee platform scaling and readiness, ensuring all critical components are properly sized, tested, and monitored to meet expected load and concurrency targets.
    • Partner with Change Management to implement appropriate change freezes and restricted windows during high-impact events to protect platform stability.
    • Collaborate with operations teams to update and maintain runbooks, escalations, and Event Bridge plans, ensuring coverage and clarity for real-time support during large events.
    • Track and validate the implementation of new features and functionality, confirming operational best practices and clearly communicating risks to stakeholders.
    • Prepare and deliver weekly executive-level reports, summarizing event readiness and risk mitigation plans.
    • Provide project oversight and stakeholder engagement for multiple large-scale initiatives, including reporting on progress, blockers, and delivery metrics.
    • Support process improvements through analysis of current workflows, identifying opportunities for automation, simplification, or enhanced reporting capabilities.

    • 5+ years of experience in operations, program management, or technical readiness—ideally within video streaming or live broadcast environments.
    • Proven ability to lead large-scale event coordination and drive cross-functional execution across complex initiatives.
    • Strong understanding of ITSM processes, runbooks/playbooks, observability tools, and cloud-based infrastructure.
    • Skilled in executive communication and reporting, with the ability to articulate complex issues into clear, actionable insights.
    • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking, with a focus on strategic execution.
    • Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to build trust and influence across cross-functional teams.
    • Proficient in tools like JIRA, Slack, PowerPoint, and SharePoint; experience with operational reporting tools is a plus.

    Desired Characteristics

    • BA/BS in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, Communications, or a related discipline required.
    • PMI certification (PMP, PMI- ACP), SAFe/Agile or other relevant project management certifications are beneficial

    This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
