Job Description
The Manager, Scenic Maintenance, is responsible for overseeing all aspects of elevated (high-reach) cleaning operations across the park to ensure continuous park excellence and show quality for our partners and guests. This role provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Scenic Maintenance team and serves as the primary liaison for all high-reach cleaning requests across our Operations, Rides, and Show Quality partners. Key responsibilities include managing the day-to-day execution of high-reach cleaning tasks performed by an internal team of union technicians, tracking the execution of work orders and routine maintenance, and ensuring timely completion of tasks while upholding park standards. The position also oversees all vendor and third-party high-reach cleaning work, acting as the main point of contact during on-site execution and providing final sign-off to guarantee quality, budget compliance and schedule adherence. Additionally, this role plays a critical part in developing a high-reach cleaning cycle program to establish a routine, forecastable schedule for internal execution. Responsibilities include union technician management, vendor relationship management, cost forecasting, expense tracking, contract optimization, and managing the expectations and delivery for our internal partners. The Manager, Scenic Maintenance, is accountable for creating a best-in-class team environment that exceeds client expectations for communication, responsiveness and quality of service within the Theme Park / Resort Industry.

Vendor Management:
Serves as the primary liaison for third-party cleaning services, streamlining requests from multiple stakeholders. Ensure each stakeholder request is communicated clearly to the vendor, and the stakeholder has a strong understanding of when the requests will be completed.
Directly manages all activities on assigned vendor work, ensuring the vendor gets the tasks done correctly and in compliance with park standards. Act as the final sign off when work is completed and main point of contact when work is being executed on site. Ensure that any issues or outstanding requests with the vendors are handled promptly and communicated to the stakeholders accordingly.
Confirm the vendors and third park services stays on budget and receives proper and timely payment.
Leads the pre-qualification and evaluation process for potential vendors. Coordinates with general contractors and third-party services to secure site access, verify insurance and fulfil all prerequisites for project execution.
Forecasts and monitors third-party expenses throughout the year, analyzing cost trends to identify saving opportunities and optimize vendor strategy. Implement cost-control measures to reduce external spending and find opportunities to handle reoccurring services internally.
