    Job Description

    Universal Television Entertainment Group (UTEG) seeks a highly qualified candidate for the position of Manager, Strategy. This position will support the VP of UTEG Strategy in creating presentations and thoughtful analyses that drive initiatives and strategies across UTEG. This role will be part of a high-impact group within the Entertainment and Studios Group Strategy and Business Development team working closely with senior leadership across NBCUniversal. The team will collaborate closely across business units within and outside of UTEG on a wide range of strategic initiatives contributing to critical decision-making and cross-company alignment in a rapidly evolving media landscape.

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Support VP in crafting narratives and developing executive presentations that clearly lay out analyses, findings, and strategic recommendations
    • Oversee projects and processes that require input and collaboration from a wide-variety of stakeholders including creative, content strategy, finance, marketing, programming, and research
    • Actively contribute to cross-portfolio initiatives and strategies across the Entertainment and Studios Group including the quarterly Strategic Slate process, AI, NextGen Audiences, and more.
    • Keep an active pulse and perspective on the trends shaping the entertainment landscape by performing strategic analysis on competitors and markets
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with members of UTEG and other business units including Media Group
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    ** Basic Requirements:**

    • 3+ years experience in strategic planning, management consulting, business development, or investment banking
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to author/deliver presentations
    • High degree of professionalism while interacting with senior management
    • Experience working effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team
    • Superior strategic acumen, relationship-building, and analytical skills
    • Proven project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines

    ** Desired Characteristics:** ****

    • A solid understanding of the television, streaming, and broader media industry, including key business models
    • Ability to interface effectively with multiple levels of management, ranging from senior corporate executives to business unit managers and third parties
    • Highly organized and detail oriented with a proactive workstyle
    • Prior experience in investment banking or management consulting experience preferred

    Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week

    This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
