YOUR MISSION
As Field Training Manager, your mission is to coordinate field training programs and trainers that will deliver consistent and validated training experiences for every hire, aligned with training materials and processes. You use the Teaching vs. Telling Mindset at all times as the foundation of effective training experiences. You are responsible for the success of the Train the Trainer program, ensuring that every trainer in every store is Certified and prepared for their responsibilities. You will deliver Periodic and Quarterly reports that demonstrate that training programs are being completed, validated, and documented at the hourly and manager level.
As part of the Training Team, you support the development of Certified Training Stores and coordinate MIT progress. You will contribute to developing training resources such as New Hire Training Schedules, MIT Training Schedules, and Trainer Manuals. To be successful in this role, you must be passionate about applying and upholding the details of the Taziki’s Training approach and successfully coordinating field training leaders to deliver measurable results. You must be able to communicate effectively and professionally to store managers, hourly employees, area supervisors/operators, and executive team members. It is essential that you are persuasive, organized, and proactive to meet deadlines and ensure progress.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Field Training Coordination
Provide coaching and coordination of the market-level Field Trainer Specialists to deliver validated training results required for each role in their assigned stores
Be an advocate and example for the Quest training platform as part of Taziki’s employee life on every shift
Take extreme ownership of the Train the Trainer Program from start to finish
Program design and process
Personally train each Field Training Specialist on using the program and validate their Certification
Continually audit and improve the program schedule, content, trainers and resources
Provide clear and effective communication to the Restaurant Support Center and Area Supervisors with insightful Periodic progress reports on the results and action plans of their Field Training Specialists
Manage food safety and alcohol service certification requirements and collaborate with Field Training Specialists/Area Supervisors to ensure 100% compliance results in their markets at all times
Collaborate with the New Store Opening Manager on 30/60/90 post-opening training handoff to their Field Training Specialist
Training Stores and MIT Program
● Provide support to Certified Training Store including annual recertification, training program audits, and weekly MIT progress reports
Execute touchpoints with all Managers In Training [MITs] during their program, including enrollment, phone calls, emails and face-to-face interactions to gauge progress and validate graduation
Audit and validate the graduation requirements of each MIT exiting the program
Other
● Participate in training content production (filming, editing, translations, etc) as needed
Provide training support to as needed, such as NSOs, Manager/Operator Training, and special training programs
Build strong relationships with Area Supervisors based on candor, trust, and results to promote confidence and investment in Training
● Continuously develop and improve operational effectiveness, guest satisfaction, sales and profitability using training programs
YOUR RESULTS
Certified Position Trainers in every corporate/JV unit who have successfully completed the Train the Trainer program with validation
On-call roster of certified trainers sufficient to meet store opening and on-request training demands
Certified Manager in every unit who has successfully completed the required MIT program with validation
Write and execute an efficient and fiscally responsible travel schedule to visit each assigned market at least once per Quarter
Maintain the necessary Field Training Specialists in each market by size and have future Specialists in active development at all times
Contribute to Learning & Development team by assisting with the creation of training resources
YOUR WORK CONDITIONS/HOURS
Monday-Friday: approximately 40 hours weekly with some moderate physical activity
May require occasional nights, weekends, and/or holidays for training events such as New Store Openings
Hybrid work environment
Monthly travel (estimated at 25%) is expected for this position

Skills & Qualifications (HARD SKILLS)
● Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or a minimum 5 years of experience in restaurant training and/or operations
Correct use of English grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary
Basic written and verbal Spanish skills are a plus
Strong knowledge of restaurant operations
Must successfully complete our 400 hour Management Training Program at a certified training store
Must be at least 21 years of age
No more than 2 jobs in the previous 5 years
Proficient knowledge of Google Suite and Excel programs
Must have and maintain a clear driving record and have reliable transportation
Must obtain and maintain an accredited Food Manager food safety certification
