Key Responsibilities
Design & Implementation: Develop, implement, and manage provider compensation models aligned with organizational goals and healthcare industry best practices.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all compensation programs comply with federal and state regulations (e.g., Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute).
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing team focused on developing compensation strategies that enhance provider satisfaction, productivity, and retention.
Compensation Modeling: Oversee incentive-based compensation models (RVU-based, quality-based, value-based), ensuring data integrity and accurate calculations.
Market Analysis: Conduct market benchmarking and collaborate with legal and finance to ensure fair market value (FMV) alignment and transparency.
Process Improvement: Direct the implementation of technology-driven solutions to support compensation accuracy and streamline workflows.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, HR, compliance, recruitment, and finance teams to ensure compensation programs support strategic initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 2 years in a provider compensation leadership role within a healthcare organization.
Proven experience designing and managing complex physician/provider compensation plans.
Proficiency with benchmarking tools such as MGMA, AMGA, or SullivanCotter.
Deep understanding of provider contract structures, compliance requirements, and compensation modeling tools.
Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing compensation-related projects from planning through execution.
Strong analytical, communication, and strategic planning skills.
Knowledge of Fair Market Value (FMV) principles and provider payment cycle best practices.
Experience developing KPIs for both financial and clinical performance metrics.
