Job Title: Manager of Safety, Compliance, and Asset Management
Location: Midlothian, TX (with travel to other sites as needed)
Days/Shift Information: Full-time, Monday–Friday, standard business hours; flexibility required for site visits or urgent maintenance/safety needs.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance and Asset Management
Oversee scheduling of maintenance and repairs for TA Services–owned equipment across multiple Mill Service and Warehouse sites. Manage Fleetio data integrity, asset tracking, and cost control to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
Safety and Compliance Leadership
Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures aligned with federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct safety training, audits, and incident investigations while promoting a proactive safety culture across all teams.
Driver and Fleet Oversight
Manage driver qualification files, drug and alcohol testing programs, and ELOG monitoring. Partner with Brokerage and site teams for driver onboarding, load securement training, and compliance reporting through FMCSA, ISN, and related systems.
Regulatory and Insurance Administration
Maintain accurate equipment, insurance, and compliance documentation, including annual filings, IFTA, UCR, Cab Cards, and OSHA reporting. Collaborate with insurance partners to add or remove vehicles and ensure all coverage is up to date.
Team Leadership and Continuous Improvement
Lead and develop operations and safety staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Support budget planning, resource allocation, and the implementation of cost-saving and reliability initiatives.
Work Environment
This position operates in both office and operational settings, including production floors, warehouses, and maintenance facilities. The role requires occasional standing, walking, and inspection of assets in potentially hazardous environments. Some travel is required between sites such as Midlothian, Petersburg, Cofield, Columbia City, and additional warehouse locations.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience:
5+ years of experience in operations, maintenance, or safety management, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
Proficiency with maintenance and compliance software such as Fleetio, Samsara, Lytx, Mcleod, Tenstreet, and ISN.
Strong knowledge of CDL operations, FMCSA compliance, and preventive maintenance practices.
Familiarity with budgeting, cost control, and asset tracking systems.
CDL and/or professional certifications such as CMRP or CSP preferred.

Additional Information
Annual Salary: $75k-$90k.
Paid Time Off: Accrue up to 5 days PTO in the first year; two weeks of vacation plus one week of PTO accrue on the first anniversary.
