    Managing Attorney (Family Law) – In-Office – Orland Park, IL Reidy Law Office LLC is a fast-growing, high-performance family law firm. We are hiring a Managing Attorney to lead our legal team, drive accountability (especially billable hours), and strengthen the systems that allow the legal department to operate consistently and profitably. This is a leadership-forward role. You will carry a select caseload—primarily higher-value matters—but your primary responsibility is ensuring the legal team is prepared, productive, accountable, and executing at a high level. Who This Role Is For • Are an Illinois-licensed attorney with family law and litigation experience. • Have led a team (or are ready for leadership) and can hold people accountable. • Like structure, standards, and performance expectations. • Can build systems and follow through until adoption is real. • Are direct, professional, and consistent—especially in difficult conversations. • Take ownership and do not need constant supervision. This is NOT a fit if you: • Prefer minimal oversight responsibility or dislike accountability conversations. • Want a loose or unstructured environment. • Are looking for hybrid/remote work. • Struggle with execution, follow-through, or consistent leadership presence. Responsibilities: Lead the Legal Team & Drive Accountability • Hold attorneys and staff accountable for hours, deadlines, and execution. • Own weekly performance tracking and department scoreboards. • Coach attorneys for stronger performance and higher standards. • Address issues directly and early—without drama or avoidance. • Improve consistency in file quality, preparation, and client service. Build and Improve Legal Systems • Identify breakdowns in workflow and case handling. • Create, refine, and enforce SOPs and best practices. • Improve task management, calendaring discipline, and communication. • Train the team on new systems and ensure adoption. Manage a Select Caseload (Higher-Value Matters) • Carry fewer cases than other attorneys. • Personally handle/oversee higher-value or more complex matters. • Provide escalation support and strategy to attorneys on contested matters. • Ensure excellent preparation for hearings, trials, and key client meetings. Get It Done • This role requires a strong work ethic and ownership. • You must be willing to work the hours necessary to meet deadlines and deliver excellent results—especially in trial/hearing seasons. Qualifications: • Active Illinois law license (required) • Family law and courtroom experience strongly preferred • Strong writing, organization, and client communication skills • Leadership and management ability (formal or informal) • In-office availability in Orland Park, IL Compensation: $130,000 - $155,000+ yearly
