    HIGH LEVEL OVERVIEW

    The Managing Director of Trade Solutions is a dynamic individual who will provide operational and product leadership for a wide range of customer-facing services, including but not limited to; general trade consulting, duty drawback, reconciliation, post entry audit & corrections, FTZ administration, and bonds.

    This is hybrid position based near Buffalo, NY or Memphis, TN.

    EXPECTATIONS

    • Lead a team of 1-10 direct reports and up to 200 indirect reports
    • Manage the trade solutions revenue portfolio of $1M-$5M, develop growth opportunities
    • Govern all existing advisory and managed solution service lines, providing supervision and oversight
    • Develop and launch new services offerings with short- and long-term strategic plan
    • Drive technology adoption to enable efficient trade solutions and customer support
    • Ensure compliance with trade rules & regulations through internal processes and controls
    • Continually monitor changes in trade regulations to maintain adaptable service offerings
    • Provide strategic guidance and training on trade compliance matters to internal stakeholders
    • Plan and execute customer engagement strategies for top-tier customers
    • Develop product presentations and participate in customer sales calls
    • Have an entrepreneurial drive to grow trade solutions services with strong commercial sense
    • Expert level knowledge of customs regulations; HTS/ECCN Classification, COO, Valuation, FTA, FTZ

    ESSENTIALS

    • 10+ years’ experience working in trade compliance, preferably in consulting or service area
    • Licensed Customs Broker required
    • Bachelor’s degree required
    • Strong people leader, fostering a culture of collaboration and transparency
    • Excellent communication skills with ability to build trusted relationships
    • Strategic thinker with ability to anticipate, assess, and quantify risk while creating growth plan
