Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities. Collaborate on international tax returns.
• Ensure clients comply with federal, state and local tax regulations.
• Assist in developing tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax benefits for clients.
• Advise clients on tax compliance issues and assist in resolving tax disputes with tax authorities.
• Assist clients in implementing tax-saving opportunities, such as credits, deductions, and incentives.
• Analyze financial statements, income statements, and balance sheets to identify potential tax implications and opportunities for tax optimization.
• Conduct financial modeling and forecasting to assess the impact of tax strategies on the organization's financial performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing excellent service and proactive tax advice.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on all tax-related matters, always maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
• Collaborate with your manager and other team members to ensure all clients are satisfied with our services through timely and effective communication, delivery on deadlines, and client support.
• Other tasks within the scope of the position may be assigned from time to time.

Job Skills & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Tax
• Prior experience in a CPA firm is a big plus!
• Experience with UltraTax and/or other tax preparation software
• Knowledge and understanding of individual and business taxes
• International tax experience is a plus!
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Thrives in a collaborative, team-player office environment
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
• Strong organizational skills
