HSE COORDINATOR, MANUFACTURING (ENTRY/JUNIOR LEVEL) – NORTHWEST HOUSTON

Rapidly growing manufacturer of insulated metal panels used in the construction of all types of buildings.  Located in Northwest Houston. 

PURPOSE:

Manage safety systems and processes for a manufacturing plant, warehouse, shipping department and corporate office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safety systems and processes company wide
• Create/update and maintain HSE policies and procedures
• Provide HSE training
• Facilitate regular safety meetings
• Perform Safety Audits
• Interfaces and negotiates with regulatory bodies, clients and subcontractors. Expected to be the HSE subject matter expert
• Frequently interfaces with peers and operations personnel. Participates on teams, as well as work under own initiative
• Expected to provide HSE leadership to entry level as well as experienced employees
• Must be fully informed of HSE programs and strategies, plus informed on the Company's business strategies and HSE needs
• Keep informed of changes in business and regulatory requirements that may necessitate implementation
• Expected to engage in personnel development and other administrative activities, as well as make presentations

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Looking for a recent college graduate with a Bachelor degree in safety and health or related field OR up to 5 years HSE experience in a manufacturing environment

• Some “hands on” work related experience helpful

• Must have basic understanding of OSHA standards and regulations, OSHA inspections and potential citations, as well as specific standards for reporting and recording

• Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

• Must have excellent communication skills
